About this service
Who runs it
Turing School of Software & Design closed in 2025. Jumpstart Lab is a records custodian for Turing: it holds a copy of Turing's student records and answers requests from alumni and from employers verifying them. Colorado's Division of Private Occupational Schools also holds Turing's records.
What it holds about you
Your name, the email addresses Turing had for you, your program, cohort, dates, and whether you graduated. For some people, a date of birth and Turing's own transcript PDF. If Turing had your Social Security number, Tassel keeps only a scrambled code made from it (a keyed hash). It cannot turn that code back into the number, and the number itself is not stored.
What happens to what you type
Your email is used to send you a link. If you answer identity questions, your answers are kept with your request so a person can review it; the last four digits of an SSN are checked against the scrambled code and never stored. Your answers stay with your request as the record of how your address was confirmed.
Who sees your records
You, once signed in, and the Jumpstart Lab people who handle requests. Documents you download carry a link anyone holding them can use to check they're genuine; that page shows your name, program, dates, and whether you completed the program, and nothing else.
